24 months or 24,000 miles on parts we supply and the labor to fit them — plus exactly what is excluded.
Last updated: July 14, 2026 · Copperline Auto Climate, 3005 Tennessee Avenue, Troy, MI 48084
1. What is covered
Copperline Auto Climate warrants parts we supply and the labor to install them for 24 months or 24,000 miles from the invoice date, whichever comes first. If a covered part fails within that period, we replace it and perform the associated labor at no charge to you, at our shop.
- Compressors, condensers, evaporators, driers, valves and lines we supplied.
- Blower motors, resistors, actuators and control heads we supplied.
- Radiators, water pumps, thermostats, hoses and fan assemblies we supplied.
- Refrigerant lost as a direct result of a covered part failure.
- Diagnostic time required to confirm a covered failure.
2. What is not covered
- Customer-supplied parts, and the labor to install or reinstall them.
- Failures caused by collision, flood, rodent damage, road debris, freezing or contaminated fuel or coolant.
- Damage from continuing to drive after a warning light, noise or overheating.
- Work performed on the same system by another shop after our repair.
- Normal maintenance and wear items: cabin filters, belts, coolant, refrigerant consumed by an unrelated leak.
- Consequential costs: towing beyond 15 miles, rental vehicles, lost wages, missed appointments.
3. Making a claim
- Stop using the system if continued use could cause further damage.
- Call 248-273-0823 and give your invoice number, or bring the invoice in.
- We schedule an inspection, usually within two business days and ahead of the general queue.
- If the fault is covered, we repair it at no charge. If testing shows an unrelated cause, we tell you first and quote it — you owe nothing for the warranty inspection itself.
The warranty is honored at our shop in Troy. If you are more than 100 miles away and the vehicle cannot be driven, call us before authorizing work elsewhere: with prior approval we will reimburse a comparable repair up to the amount the job would have cost here.
4. Transferability
The warranty covers the vehicle, not the owner, and transfers with a private sale if the new owner presents the original invoice. It does not transfer to a dealer or wholesale buyer.
5. Refunds and cancellations
- Before work begins — cancel any time at no cost; diagnostic time already performed is billable.
- After diagnosis, repair declined — you pay the diagnostic fee only, and the written findings are yours to keep.
- Special-order parts — refundable less the supplier's restocking fee (typically 15–25%) if unopened; electrical components are frequently non-returnable and we will say so before ordering.
- Completed repairs — are covered by the warranty above rather than refunded, since the labor has been performed. If we misdiagnosed the fault, we correct our error at our cost.
- Deposits — we take deposits only on special-order parts over $500 and apply them to the final invoice.
6. If you are not satisfied
Call and ask for Mabel Garcia. She responds to every complaint personally within one business day. If we cannot reach a resolution, you may file a complaint with the Michigan Department of State, Bureau of Regulatory Services, which regulates registered repair facilities, and we will provide any records you need. This warranty gives you specific legal rights; you may have other rights that vary and nothing here limits your rights under Michigan law.
